After much sadness after losing our lovely little Shiba Inu girl Sasha back in July 09, Tim felt he was ready to fill the Shiba shaped hole in our lives with another of this very unique breed.

We pondered what next, we looked out for a rescue as a possible option, but were unable to find anything suitable really. We had been talking with one of the UK's most knowledgable Shiba people over the preceeding months, and as she has two litters, we arrange a visit to meet and see about maybe having a baby from her.

After seeing all the girls available out of two litters, Tim's heart was still not in it really and although they were all really lovely, none of them really made him think 'she was the one'...... We had been looking at a girl, but I said we should consider a boy, and so we went to look the boys.

Kenji, as he is now known, picked Tim instantly, wouldn't leave him alone, washed him thoroughly in true Shiba stylie and stole Tims heart. So home he came with us that day.

He is a little terror, Chyna thinks he is a duracell powered new toy, Tala has almost forgiven us for bringing it home, but not quite, and Angel is grumpy with him (as she is with everyone!) I am sure he will make an appearance or three at an Affie show as NFC, so you can all meet him then.

The name Kenji means 'strong' or 'vigorous' in Japanese, but there is a sub-meaning of 'hope' and we chose it because Kenji will be by Tim's side for a very long time I hope, and in Kenji I leave a little piece of me to cuddle with in the future. He means a lot to us both.
