Having seen Jana & Bo's website and realising how close our dogs were in pedigree I wrote to them and introduced myself. When I saw this boy was available from the latest litter we spoke and agreed for Luciano to come to the UK. I look forward to the future of our friendship and working together with our bloodlines.

Luc comes from Sweden and is the son of the top winning Afghan Hound in Germany 2007 the stunning 'Rush' out of 'Wilma', a beautiful multi champion daughter of a 'Elvis' (Multi Ch Ishkurs Poseidon of Oceanus) a top producing stud dog for Jangals and others, a dog that I have long admired. 

Luc has a pedigree packed with greats, he goes back to a little bit of old El Khyrias as well as a hint of Taco (Puttin On The Ritz) Sam (Red Cloud) Killer (Heartbreaker) Fred (Yesterday Today, Tomorrow) Chevy (Say What You Mean) and many, many more outstanding Afghan Hounds of yesteryear that have made their mark on the breed.

Luc will be in partnership with us and living on the lovely island of Jersey with a good friend of ours Marie Claire Hannigan.

Update. Luciano came home on the 18th of June. He has settled in wonderfully and we are very happy to have our handsome lad join us here at last

August '09 - JKC Summer Championship Show, Luc takes BOB, Group 1 and his 4th CC, he is unbeaten in the Hound Group in Jersey so far, amazing. Judge was Eleanor Bothwell. In the Best In Show competition it was a tense run around but Luc did it, BEST IN SHOW! We are so proud of what he has achieved. Marie Claire you are going a great job and I am so glad I was there to see it this time.

May '09 - JKC Spring Championship Show, Luc takes BOB, Group 1 and his 3rd and crowning CC!! It's now JERSEY CHAMPION LUCIANO. In three Champ shows he has taken the Group and CC each time, it's amazing and we are increcibly proud of our young boy. Way to go Marie Claire and Team Jahera Jersey! He also went BIS4.

What the judge said: BOB & G1 winner, also made up to Jersey Champion today Hannigan & Deen's Import Jangels Just a Gigolo at Jahera at 2 years of Champion parentage, refined head, excellent eye shape, long neck, well laid shoulders flowing into a level back, good upper arm, large feet, deep chest, is well bodied with strong loin, presented in good muscular condition, with nice sweep of rear angulation, moved out soundly with style and confidence with well set and carried stern. March '09 - JKC Winter Championship Show, Luc takes BOB, Group 1 and his 2nd CC!! Then goes BIS-4.

What the judge said: Exciting young dog with great style & panache, refined head, excellent reach of neck, topline & fallaway to well angulated hindquarters, OK shoulders, super balance & attitude, superb presentation and handling, with a little more maturity could well reach the heights. March '09 - Crufts, Luc wins 1st Yearling dog out of 12.

What the judge said: I was very impressed with this young blue dog. He is lovely to go over, your hands just running smoothly over his whole body, helped by the fact that he is in such good condition. Strong front, lovely lay of shoulder, and good length and angle to upper arm, firm topline, and sweeping quarters with low strong hocks. I loved his head and expression, and was equally impressed by his sound, positive movement. Judge -Lesley Busby

January '09 - Jersey Kennel Club - 1st Afghan Open, BOB, Hound Group 1 and Reserve Best In Show!

What the judge said: 21 mnths old, superb outline with a very proud head carriage, every part flows easily into the next with no coarseness whatsoever, masculine head with strong jaw and dark eye, nice length to neck, well placed shoulders, lovely long well muscled thighs, not yet in full coat, just floated round the ring excellent reach and drive. Will trouble the best when fully mature.BOB, Group 1 & RBIS Judge -  John W Hadden

July - First show, Crufts Qualified!!! He also won 4th in a huge Junior Stakes class of around 30 dogs. 2nd time out he won his class
