This is Niah! This little madam is a vibrant and outgoing girl, exceptionally intelligent she needs constant attention and stimulations. As a pup she was a water baby and delighted in using her special bucket of water to cool down in, this basically consists of plunging her whole head beneath the surface, blowing bubbles and then covering everyone in a half mile vicinity with the water!! followed by frantic water digging, she never could work out why a hole does not appear. Ok so she grew out of that eventually, thankfully!
She grew up into a lovely Afghan, but sadly hated the show ring with a passion, so we stopped showing her after a few attempts. As a puppy she did very well, in 4 outings, 4 firsts and 1 Best Puppy In Breed under M Dupas. Ah well.
Niah needs a lot of attention, at home she spent most of her day trying to escape the run, hurting herself in the process and due to this it was decided that she would be better with someone who was home with her the majority of the time and could give her lots of attention. It took a year to find the right home, then in late 2005 she went to live with Helga Huelsmann in Germany. Here she is enjoying long, long walks, going racing and coursing and generally be spoilt rotten. It was terribly hard to let her go, but best for our girl.
