Update November 2009 After what has been a dreadful year, it got worse today. Our beautiful special Punky had to leave us on the 17th of November. She was too ill for the vets to fix, so I held her in my arms as she was given her last sleep, the last gift from us. She was not in pain, and she was relaxed and peaceful, comfortable on the sofa at home with Mum and me by her side. With Punky was born my love of this exotic colour, and also the freindship with Martina and Thomas Kempken of Nightwind Kennels, which has been wonderful. I am so grateful that my Mum 'found' Punky that day she went to visit with the Kempkens, and even more grateful that they let her come home with us and enrich our lives like she has. Punky has had a great life, full of love, food and sofas, she will be so terribly missed and I feel like my heart is breaking this year with both her and Sasha going on ahead to the Bridge. Run free Punky, you know we love you more than anything, we will miss you so badly and you will live on in our hearts. I will be along to be with you again in the future, you make sure you're there with the others ok, I need you all by my side when I cross the Bridge. __________________________________________________ We are extremely proud to have this beautiful and elegant Domino lady with us here in the UK. Born in Germany in 1998 Punky arrived in 2001 and settled herself right in. She has a stunning pedigree full of exotic and stylish Afghans and carries the ‘Taco’ line that many of our hounds carry. She blessed us with 6 wonderful puppies in the first 'Stars & Moons' litter. ‘Punky’ has a wonderful nature, fun loving and mischievous, she is extremely clever able to open doors and work out how to get us to do what she wants!! she is a complete sweetheart and very affectionate. Although rarely shown in her past we have enjoying showing her to discerning judges in the UK, I have to say it's tough showing a Domino but she certainly has her admirers. She even starting to enjoy it, although she is still rather stubborn on the stack, in true Afghan style!!! Now a veteran, we may bring out girl out from time to time, but right now she has a sofa to concentrate on.
