Zazz came to the UK from Switzerland on the 25th of September 1997.He served his 6 months 'time' in quarantine kennels, never again. It took our precious boy quite some time to settle into his loving home when he came out, he was always a little bit distant. But in time he did settle, and became my man of the household.

He won numerous 1sts at Championship shows and at Open shows he has many BOB'S and Group placings as well as a Best In Show and a BIS 4 to his credit. He won his Junior Warrant in just 2 1/2 months, we believe only the third import Afghan Hound to achieve this award. Shown very sparingly in the last couple of years due to work commitments he gained his stud book number and enjoyed mainly a life of leisure with his girls around him. He was patient with puppies, tolerant of the girls mood swings and never, ever grumbled, he protected us from horses, postmen and people on bikes every day.

We are very proud of our boy, and count ourselves lucky we where given the chance to share our lives with him. However at just 7, he fell ill, and despite our best efforts to save him over many months, we lost the battle. We said goodbye on Valentines Day 2005, we were with him as he fell asleep that last time on his sofa, his head in my arms. His last act was to give a final wag of his tail, he knew we only did it for him and he let us know it was ok, he always was the most thoughtful boy.

I miss you so badly Zazzy, we all do. You will never be forgotten, I see you in your son and daughters eyes, shining out, you always were and always will be my star.
