Those who have been to this page and read the evil nightmare that Mr Nick Deen put me through will see that I have now deleted the whole story. That chapter of my life and the regret that goes with it is firmly closed, because you see on the 30th of December 2009, I got married to the right and perfect man that is Tim Roebuck, so am now Mrs Nikki Roebuck, and very proud to be. Tim is quite simply the most caring and generous man there is. Since we first became a couple, we have never argued or fallen out about anything, sure we have disagreements, but they never last and we both say sorry very quickly or just start laughing at each other. It's hard to be mad when you are laughing :) He has stood by me right from the beginning, been willing to share in my world of dogs and helped me do the things I love, in return I have tried to do the same for him, but he picked a really expensive hobby, motor racing and I still waiting to see him behind the wheel of the Midget, competing, come on Tim!! His support though, became even more critical when I was first diagnosed with cancer in March 2007, we made decisions together on how to go forward and he helped me cope with both the mental and physical scars that I was left with. We became stronger, closer and more determined to treasure what we had. In October 2008, the cancer came back, and in December we were told it was incurable. No hope. But hope is something neither of us was willing to give up and despite the continuous chemotheraphy treatments I have undergone since then, the fear of what is to come, the physical difficulties that where now mine, we continued, and we became still stronger together. In March 2009, Tim got down on one knee, under the Aurora Borealis, in Iceland in -20 degrees and asked me to become his wife. He made me so happy at that moment, I cannot even put it into words. The subsequent difficulties we encountered in trying to get my divorce through were horrific, but again, he was the quiet and constant support for me, as we battled to get it through. Now we are married, as it should be, husband and wife for two souls who have always been destined for each other, but just got a little lost along the way until that fateful day we worked on a project together. We both intend to treasure and enjoy every moment of life I have left, do the things we love to do and simply be together as we should, as normal as we can be, for as long as we can be. Thank you Tim, for being in my life, for becoming my husband, for giving me the strength to keep fighting every single day. I love you much more than the those words can convey, but they are all I have... so... I love you Tim.
To my Mum who has also been my rock and support, thank you for all you have done for me, no one could ask for a better Mum than you and I am blessed that you are mine. I love you so very much. To Marie Claire, thank you for being willing to take on Jahera in partnership with me, it makes me so happy to know it will continue under your guidence into the future. Thank you so much and love you too mate. To all the wonderful people in my life, who have been there for me throughout all this, who have supported me, smiled with me, laughed with me and cried with me, thank you all too. I am truly blessed to share my life with each and every one of you. There is so much I want to say, but I just can't find the words right now. {{{hugs}}}

| In The Beginning.... | |
I was brought into the world shortly after 2 litters of Afghans (21 in all) and can’t imagine life without these wonderful, beautiful creatures, my grandmother swears that if those puppies had not been there she would have seen not a single picture of me, you see I was born in Australia, so it was a long way from the UK. |

I love handling our own dogs and have also been honoured to be entrusted with some lovely hounds and show them on thier owners behalf winning CC and Stud Book Numbers. To the far left is me and Tala in 2008, the baseball cap is due to my being pretty much bald due to chemo that year. The near left is me and Zazz, back in 1998. How time flies! |
| Judging... | |
I have recently started judging, and have quite a few classes under my belt now as well as the honour of putting my hands on some truly lovely hounds. I am currently on the 'B' or 'C' Lists of many of the Afghan Hound Breed Clubs in the UK and working towards the next level. Click HERE to see past and forthcoming judging appointments. Where possible I have included my critique and photo of principal winners. If you are seeking an Afghan Hound Judge for a forthcoming show I would love to hear from you. |

| More To Life | |
Of course there is more to my life other than dogs and I am lucky enough to work for Aston Martin, the sports car maker. Orginally the Sales Manager for Parts Operations having joined in 2000 my job lets me get close to and drive some of the most beautiful, desirable and powerful cars in the world. As of April 2008 I have changed jobs and am extremely excited to have been appointed as the Global Training Manager. A truly wonderful oppurtunity. Of course work does keep my dogs in food and my showing habit topped up, but I am very lucky to love my job and our product! Here are some pictures of me with various Aston Martins taken over the years |
|
Vanquish, what a car! The first Aston Martin I got to drive properly and it was the top of the range, awesome Vanquish. I was hooked the minute I got behind that wheel, pressed that starter button and heard the engine roar into life, how can anyone not be! Taken in 2001 |

This was my first time in the studio with one of our cars, so I decided to get a picture while we were at it! I have continued this over the years. This car is a DB7 GT, and was taken in 2003. At almost 10 years old the DB7 was at the end of it's production life. But despite that it remains a beautiful car, a timeless classic. |
|
DB9, back in the studio again and here I am leaning nonchalantly against this fabulous car. DB9 represented a huge leap forward for our company in technology and the DB9 is a joy to drive. This picture was taken in 2004 |

V8 Vantage, taken in 2006. I have to admit to this car being my favourite to drive. It handles so well, it feels like it fits me and I am a part of it, an extension of my senses becomes the car around me. Totally immersive experience. Photo taken in 2006 |
And my last foray into the studio, 2008, post chemotherapy my hair is just starting to grow back hence the severe haircut. The car I am leaning against... the Aston Martin DBS, the car used in the James Bond film Casino Royal and soon to be seen again in 'Quantum of Solace' Powerful, beautiful and Aston Martin at it's absolute best. |

Our company uses three words to describe our cars 'Power, Beauty, Soul' just about sums it up in my opinion. I am a very, very lucky girl to work with these cars and with the amazing people who make Aston Martin what it is!! |
